About Me
.
Hi, I’m Dan Hamilton, Borough Councillor for Englefield Green East on Runnymede Borough Council.
I was first elected in May 2007 and am currently the Vice-Chairman of the Corporate Management Committee for the 2008/9 year. From 2007 to 2008 I sat on the Economic Development Committee and the Council’s overview and scrutiny committee, the Review Board.
I am currently reading Politics and International Relations at Royal Holloway University of London, located inside my ward. I also work for Nirj Deva, one of the four Conservative Members of the European Parliament for the area, organising his constituency work and press.
I am on the Executive Committee of Conservative Way Forward and edit our in-house magazine, Forward!, which has featured contributions from representatives from the world of business and education, United States Senators, Members of the European Parliament and several members of the Shadow Cabinet.
I am a regular contributor to CentreRight.com, a discussion website for the British conservative movement. In the past, I have written on topics as diverse as religion and Gordon Brown’s foreign policy. For a full list collection of my contributions, please click here.
In my remaining spare time, I can often be found in the Happy Man on Harvest Road and enjoy travel, skiing and photography.
